How many of you going to start university life? Some might wonder whether university life is interesting or not. What are the things a student to know before enrolling in a university? Today, I’m going to share about the important things I have learnt in university.
Don’t let other people decide your everyday routine for you. Before going to bed, plan your next day schedule. Time management is very important for a university student. Don’t think that you have scored an excellent result in secondary school, you will definitely get the same result in university too. If you have this kind of mind set, please get rid of your head. Trust me, university life is all about you and your actions. You will suffer in the university if you can’t be an independent person. In school, your teacher will take care of you and your grades, but in university, nobody is going to give a damn about you unless you are lucky enough to get a very caring lecturer. It’s rare, if you find, enjoy.
Don’t assume you’ll be able to get everything from your lecturer – you won’t.
Tip: If you don’t want to suffer in your studies, make a good relationship with your lecturer. If you have a doubt in any particular chapters, make an appointment with your lecturer. Revise every day. Just flip the pages to scan what you have learnt in class. Learn to complete your assignments before the due date. Don’t do everything last minute. Don’t copy your friend’s answers. Doing assignment on your own shows that how good you are in a particular chapter. Then, if you feel like your slides or notes are incomplete, try to get textbook. University textbooks usually very expensive. If you want to save your money, try to get textbooks from your seniors. Some seniors will give textbook to you for free.
Sometimes, you will eager to know more about your course. Definitely, you will ask to your seniors. Some seniors will give negative comments about your course and vice versa. Don’t ever get demotivated because of them. You will become what you think. Am I right?
“Nothing in life comes easy, everything comes with a sacrifice.”
Do you know the indescribable feeling when you succeed in the course your pursue in university? The feeling when all of your hard work paid off? Amazing right? Just bear in mind that what comes easy won’t last, what lasts won’t come easy. In short, stay away from negative people. They have problem for every situation.Put your maximum effort in every subjects that you feel tough.Trust me, definitely, god will make a way. Don’t give up and trust Him.
Don’t blame others. Trust me you’ll meet with people who look for a way to blame someone, something or some circumstance for what’s going on in their life. Sometimes, you do not understand what your lecturer teaches in class. You’ll be stress and get down because of this particular lecturer. If you ask me, there is no point of worrying. Worrying just makes things more worse. You’ve got to take responsibility for where you are right now. What’s more important is figure out a path to solve your problem you are facing in your life.
Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy with your friends. Bear in mind that, you have rights to talk with anyone in the university does not matter they are different gender, junior or senior. It’s your choice whether you want to follow one’s attitude or not. You’ll meet with many kind of people. Don’t ever judge anyone without talking to them personally. In short, choice is yours.
Tips: Learn to say ,”no” sometimes without feeling guilty or hurting people. Setting boundaries is healthy.Always focus on your priority. “Live your life for you not for anyone else. Don’t let the fear of being judged, rejected or disliked stop you from being yourself”. As a university student, make sure you know your priorities. Do you know the sad feeling when you do not accomplish something successfully even after you know there is no second chance for you? Trust me, I would say it is a horrible feeling. If you do not want to experience it, stay focus on your goals and don’t forget the purpose why you go to university in the first place.
If you don’t want to broke easily, work on your budget. As a university student, it is a normal thing when you run of money. This kind of scenario puts you in stress zone indirectly. When we are in twenties, we need more money than we want before this. If you want to get out from this scenario, always buy necessary things and always eat healthy food and on time. Bear in mind that, different people has different family background. Some people rich and some aren’t rich. Some rich people spend money wisely and vice versa. If you don’t want to burden your parents, then develop the habit of your saving.
